Good Today… and I’m back!

Hello!  It has been a very long time since I’ve written anything on here.  I’ve been thinking about starting up again, but changing the name of the blog.  I’ve got a lot of ideas but I tend to not want to start anything until I feel I’m fully ready.  The problem with that though is I’ll never feel fully ready, so why not just start again now?

This post will be short, but I just signed up for Good Today which was a recommendation from one of the three morning newsletters I subscribe to: Morning Brew.  I know so many people are dealing with incredible hardships between the coronavirus, health concerns, losing jobs, looking after loved ones, having to make hard decisions with putting their kids back in school, so right now may not be the time for you to sign up for this service.  But if you’ve been feeling like you’d like to step up your giving but you’re not sure how, Good Today seems to be like an incredible option.  With as little as $0.25 donation per day, you can help donate to a new organization every day.  While $0.25 doesn’t seem like much, their idea is once you’ve pooled together $0.25 from thousands of other people then you are really making a difference for these organizations.  By the end of the year you will have not only donated to 365 different organizations, but you’ll also be exposed to an incredible group of organizations who are doing their part to step in and help.  It may even lead you to volunteer with one of those organizations, or donate to one of the organizations more regularly.  You are charged monthly, or yearly, based on your preference and Good Today will charge a $2.50 fee per month to cover their costs.

If you’re looking for a way to help out, even just a little, I would suggest trying them out!  It sounds like you can cancel at anytime by emailing them so you don’t have much to lose.  My goal is to pick one of the organizations that I donated to each month and have a spotlight blogpost on them to learn more about them and help bring greater awareness.

I realize I need to get back on my photo game so I can start including some visuals to these posts, but that’s it for now.  It feels good to be back.
